When the PLEV (PMD / escooter) the is locked anti-theft will not accelate when pressing the trottle.
This features can be engaged/disengaged by ways:
- beacons
- manual buttons actions
- smartphone
Beacons
The anti-theft
It works with Bluetooth proximity sensors (beacons) you must keep on you, in your coat or in your bag.
The range is 2 to 50 meters depending of the configuration.
You configure SmartDisplay to regulary search for 1 or 2 devices, how many missed search you allow and the maximum distance the beacon(s) should be. If the SmartDisplay doesn’t see the beacons, SmartDisplay will lock itself.
When locked the PLEV (PMD / escooter) will not accelate when pressing the trottle.
To unlock, either come back in the accepted range, or use the pin code on the display to unlock it.
Smart beacon devices can be purchased (it includes a CR2477 battery with a 6-9 months autonomy), but most bluetooth 4.2 devices like watches or headphones should work.
Manual lock/unlock with buttons
You can configure the SmartDisplay to be locked at startup and ask a 4 digits PIN code to unlock it.
PIN code is configurable with the smartphone application.
It can also be configured to ask the PIN code at startup only if the PLEV (PMD / escooter) has be locked (manually or automatically by beacons).
Smartphone
You can lock or unlocked with any peered smartphone and the SmartDisplay application.
